It’s well past the time when I should have shared an update on our journey to full-time RV life! Let’s see, since our last update in December we celebrated a birthday for our 6 year old, took a tour of the Brinkley Model G Factory, and took a well deserved vacation in sunny Miami, Florida! We were able to get out of town to visit family while our house went back on the market, which was great to avoid keeping the house clean for the open houses and showings. Our last day in beautiful Miami we got news that we had multiple offers! As you can imagine, this news was very well received. We’ve since had the house inspection and it’s smooth sailing ahead with a close date that’s rapidly approaching. We’ve begun getting serious about selling and donating items and furniture from our house to prepare. We’ve also begun taking loads of our stuff up to its temporary home up north.

We also have news on the RV front: we officially put a deposit down on a wonderful Brinkley G 4100 unit that will be rolling off the factory lot just for us! Hopefully we can work out the timing where we don’t drive our family crazy (since they’re graciously letting us take over their basement as a temporary living quarters). So that’s lots of big updates and great news that I have finally shared out to you. I’m sure we’ll have much more in the upcoming weeks as we close on the house and move forward with the purchase of a truck and the new home on wheels, so stay tuned!
