Minneapolis Trip

With December comes Target digital’s annual Innovation Week. This means I was able to fly back to Target headquarters in Minneapolis for a week to work on a fun project. It was nice to be able to fly into the snowy weather to enjoy it for a week… and then return to the warmer weather! My flights went smoothly both ways and I didn’t lose any luggage.

I was able to meet Target’s new Yeti (he’s really fluffy) and snap a photo of the Lego Bullseye for the kids. It was a week of meeting with teammates and traversing the Minneapolis skyways. We had a team happy hour at The Local, a restaurant in downtown Minneapolis near our office. They had the whole place decorated for holiday events, so I also had to grab a photo of the upside down Christmas trees and large ornaments!

During the week there was supposed to be a craft exchange, so I made mini bookshelves (that can be used as an anxiety bookshelf or to record e-books read during the year). Of course, the Minneapolis weather decided to snowstorm so the exchange got rescheduled to when I’ll be back in warmer weather. So two of my crafty teammates and I did our own exchange and I ended up with a really cool zipper pouch!

Overall it was a fun trip into snowy weather, but I missed the family and was glad to be home! Oh, and my team won best Innovation Week project 😉
