To the Gulf!

New week, new location. The travel started off with Elfie stowing away in the truck – he must have heard us say it’s not safe to ride in the RV and he didn’t want to get left behind! We said goodbye to Louisiana and made our way back west. We made it to our destination without issue and immediately said hi to our new neighbors – Grandma and Pa! Kai and Reya are excited to spend some quality time with them and celebrate Christmas day with them. This RV resort is definitely one of the nicest we’ve stayed in. Kai and Reya enjoy the jumping pillow and the playground. We all enjoy the (heated) pool, and we’ve all gotten to use our bikes. Kai has taken to doing 11 laps each morning for “exercise”.

When I got a day off from work, we drove down to the beach at the Gulf of America. It was a beautiful day spent with the family. Pa showed Kai the quicksand effect by the surf and Kai had a blast learning how to disappear his feet (and hands). Kai and Reya have also gone shell hunting with Daddy and Pa during the week and they’ve found some pretty cool ones. We’ve also taken a long bike ride on our eBikes along the seawall in some crazy fog! It was tough to see more than 20 feet in front of us. We had to take off our sunglasses because the mist was making it tough to see through the lenses. Then the mist collected on my eyelashes and I had to keep wiping my eyes to see. It was an experience!

We’re excited to see what else this month brings, so stay tuned!
