Girls Weekend

What do you do for girls weekend when you and your friends full-time? Go to the Tampa RV show! This life comes with some pretty unique challenges that most won’t understand unless they’ve also spent some serious time in an RV. When the opportunity came up to travel to Tampa to support WanderLawings as the Axiom ambassador for the show, we all jumped on it! The weekend started out with a normal day at the RV show, touring models we wanted to see and walking around in normal clothing.

The model I wanted to see was the Brinkley G4150. We’ve been eyeing it since the floorplan came out. This model has a different living and kitchen area than our current floorplan and would work better for our family time with a sectional couch rather than two individual ones. It still includes the toy hauler garage that the kids will have their queen bunk beds in. The big draw? It’s got a dedicated office space in the nose. This would be great for so many reasons. I’ve never been really productive when working from a couch, so I could start working right away at my desk when one of the kids crawls into bed with us overnight. It’s a sit-to-stand desk so I could be more active during the day. Dustin could access the bedroom while I’m on calls and not worry about being in the zoom backgrounds. Short story: it’s beautiful and we will trade in one day. Hopefully sooner than later, but we are grateful to have a beautiful home now and aren’t in a rush.

Day two of the RV show we had a bit more fun. Thanks to Amazon, we got matching wigs in different colors because, why not?? We went on a bit of a photo scavenger hunt, beginning at the Axiom booth, of course, since we were there to help support our girl. The amount of people that stopped us to take pictures with us, ask if we were in a band, or compliment us was crazy! I’ve never been so popular and it was definitely surreal. We walked through the second vendor tent and had brands pulling us into their booths because they thought we were all big social media influencers (some are, most of us are not). We were gifted exclusive Trailer Trash t-shirts from a content-creator event that we wore for the day. When we stopped by their booth (Unique Camping & Marine), we were also given free Trailer Trash hats for all of our husbands back home. Overall it was a wonderful day, culminating in games and reel creation back at the rental house. We’ve decided this will definitely be an annual girls trip!

I used to work this show back in my RV days, there were always so many “interesting” people in crazier things than wigs! Glad you had fun!
