We splurged for a day trip to Page, AZ with our friends (us plus five other families). It was approximately a three hour drive, so we decided to spend the night in the hotel to avoid burnout for the kids. This was SO much fun! Our first stop was at Horseshoe Bend. The kids all had so much fun climbing on the rocks and going up the steep formations. Reya was brave when she started climbing the smaller rocks on her own. Of course all of us adults wouldn’t let the kids near the edge unless they were holding an adult’s hand. It was a steep, sheer cliff!

We were able to get some pretty cool family photos in front of the bend courtesy of our friends. Dustin and Kai hiked further down towards the edge and had a blast. Kai is quite the little daredevil. He’s not afraid, though he’s mastered the spider walk when going down steeper inclines, which calms my heart a bit! The one negative about this stop? I lost my chapstick out of my pocket. I swear I didn’t want to litter, I even searched the whole trail back for it but it was just gone. Despite the loss of my emotional support chapstick, this was a fantastic stop!
