Ready for a quick post? While in Winterhaven the moms walked most mornings. This meant that I was able to see some pretty spectacular sunrises both over the road and over the river. Plus it was dark when I left, so you can see our underbody night lights! We use these overnight to help illuminate the campsite so we can see going in and out, but also to help deter pests and animals from making a home under us. It’s worked so far!

The campground was also right on the Colorado River which meant that Dustin was able to paddleboard most mornings as well. This shot was taken by one of our friends who was kayaking the opposite direction! Dustin was also able to go on a few mountain bike rides with the dads in the area, which he enjoyed so much he started looking for his own mountain bike to ride.

Other than spending time outdoors in the mornings and evenings, we stayed inside in the AC during the day to avoid the 110° record temperatures. Overall we enjoyed our time in Winterhaven but are unlikely to return.
