Zion Narrows

When going to Zion National Park, the Narrows is a must-do! We actually went twice. We went as a family the first time to see it and experience what the river was like on a hike. We had just gotten Kai and Reya new shoes so we put them to the test! It was such a beautiful hike. It felt like a rainforest oasis in the middle of the Utah desert. The canyon walls were wet and mossy walking down to the river, with lots of moss and flowers growing. We also saw squirrels and deer while walking the path. Hiking the Virgin River section of the Narrows was so tough, but enjoyable! Dustin carried Reya for most of the water while Kai and I held hands behind. No one fell in!

The second time we went to the Narrows was for our friend’s birthday. She wanted to hike with friends for her birthday, so we joined the party. Her and Reya held hands and hiked to the river together, it was really cute. Once we got to the river parts we split again, Reya went on Dustin’s shoulders and I hung back with Kai. He took turns walking with me and walking with friends. A few kids fell in the water this time, but Kai and Reya stayed dry. The water was warmer than the first time we went but still icy cold! Both times the hike was beautiful and well worth the time spent!
